Join us for the Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of La Leche on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 PM! What is a canonical coronation, and why is it significant to the Diocese of St. Augustine?
A canonical coronation is a formal act of crowning an image of Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, or St. Joseph in the name of the Holy Father. The crowning acknowledges that the specific image, while hving local significance, also has universal importance for the Catholic Church. A canonical coronation is different than a regular May Crowning in that this coronation will only happen once to this specific image of Our Lady of La Leche. Learn more at coronation.dosafl.com.
